symmetrix
to make the server see a new disk, it had to be rebooted.
it would not come up, just kept resetting.
booting from symm does that sometimes.
it had to be reset.
first booted from localdisk.
then reference to the sym as the boot disk removed from /etc/system
local boot disk set to mount at boot
rebooted
sym set to be the boot disk in /etc/system
again.
seems ok?
the storage admin said the host id is 2. that means LUN #2. there is Unit 2 seen when probe-scsi-all is done.
which device is that in the OS?
is it the right device?
